Meet Larry Haber

Lawrence (Larry) Haber has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, with the last 20 years devoted primarily to entertainment law. He has extensive experience in all aspects of legal, business and union matters in the entertainment industry, including the production, distribution and sales of long and short form film and television programming, and the negotiating and drafting of agreements for financing, production, and distribution of such programming. His clients also include software, web site, design and graphics companies. He represents production companies, talent, and producers in all phases of development and production in all types of media worldwide. His legal experience is grounded in intellectual property, corporate, general business and transactional law. He was an in-house attorney at both Universal Studios Florida and Walt Disney World for over seven years, with his last four years at Disney focused exclusively as Director of Business Affairs for original television programming. Among other projects while at Disney, he packaged, negotiated and sold worldwide rights for two episodic television series.

Larry graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1979 with a BSBA in Finance. Larry was the 308th brother to initiate into the Theta Sigma chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. In addition, Larry also served as the Student Union President (then called Village Center) from 1978- 1979. The Central Florida DSP Alumni family would like to welcome Lawrence as our advisor to the chapter!

More than 1,400 CFOs across the country were interviewed and provided information for Robert Half International’s quarterly Professional Employment Report. Key findings indicate that more than 90 percent of CFOs said they expect to maintain current levels of staff accounting positions for the second quarter of 2012. This represents a significant increase over the first quarter, when only 69 percent said they intend to maintain current personnel. Four percent of CFOs said they plan to add employees, and 5 percent indicate plans to decrease the number of staff positions

Aireny Castro serves as our VP of Marketing. Upon initiating into Theta Sigma Chapter, Aireny quickly took advantage of the opportunities that the organization offered. Aireny now works as a Marketing Coordinator for Darden Restaurants and plans to pursue a MBA from a top tier Ivy League graduate school.
